MEGAN Taylor won the most improved junior of the year at Brampton Park Golf Club after slashing 10 shots of her handicap from 16 to six this year.

The highlight of her year was being part of the winning team for Brampton in the County Mary Cole Rose Bowl. Taylor shot the lowest gross of the day paring the Lakeside course and having a nett 64, seven shots under her handicap.

She also won the ladies’ order of merit and the PRP medal, which was a mixed competition of more than 100 people in the field.

Taylor is now at the prestigious Lee Westwood Golf Academy in Essex, studying a National Diploma in Sport, and made a good start winning October’s order of merit and qualifying for the girls’ British schools final for 2012.
