HUNTINGDONSHIRE Fencing Club’s junior foilists were in action on Sunday at the Cambridgeshire Fencing Association’s autumn Junior Championships – and came home with a clutch of medals.
In the U13 category, Keiran Presland became the county autumn champion when he finished the even undefeated.
Despite having only taken up the sport in the last year, Presland conceded no more than two hits to any of his opponents.
In the same category, Jack Given won six fights from 11 to take sixth place overall.
At U16 level, Edward Sage won eight of his 10 fights to take the silver medal, closely followed by team-mate Harry Brindle, whose seven victories from 10 fights earned him bronze. Joshua Lloyd-Braden rounded out an excellent tournament for the club, winning half of his 10 fights to finish fifth.
