ST Ives Swimming Club picked up an impressive haul of medals at the recent Cambridgeshire County Championships and City of Peterborough Open meets.
Oliver Fitt won three of the club’s five gold medals at the Cambs County Champs, while also picking up seven silvers and nine bronzes.
At the Peterborough Open the club managed a medal haul of four gold medals, 11 silvers and nine bronzes.
“Special congratulations should go to all the club swimmers who didn’t manage to win an individual medal but set personal best times,” said committee member Pete Chalmers.
St Ives also competed in the second round of the Anglian League and only missed out on a win by two points with Wisbech scoring 135 points and St Ives 133. In third place came Boston B with 78 and fourth was the First Strokes club with 65.
