Hemingfords United manager Matt Peacey has saluted his players for a fine run of form.

Peacey’s men recorded a second successive Cambs League top-flight triumph when winning 3-1 at Cambridge University Press last Saturday.

Tom Howard saw his opener cancelled out before the break, but Jack Jefferson restored the advantage.

Goalkeeper Shay Griffiths made a terrific stop to keep his side ahead before Howard struck again to secure victory.

Hemingfords are now unbeaten in their last three league games and have also made Hunts Intermediate Cup progress.

Peacey said: “We have been picking up good results. All the players have put a good shift in and hopefully we can keep it going.”

Brampton remain third in the Kershaw Premier Division after roaring to their biggest win of the season.

Danny Cain and Nick Garner both struck twice in an 8-0 rout of Sawston United. George Cresswell, Gareth Owens, Ollie Vale and debutant Michael Mackrell also found the net.

Eaton Socon have completed a hat-trick of hat-tricks – after all three of their sides triumphed for the third successive Saturday.

The club’s first-team climbed into the top-six of the Kershaw Premier Division courtesy of a 3-1 victory against Lakenheath.

A classy Luke Swain free-kick, an Owen Dixon tap-in and a curling Rhys Thorpe strike earned the points. Swain also made a vital defensive block when the game was still goalless.

Sammy Argyle’s side triumphed 3-2 at Brampton Reserves, who are managed by his brother, Richard, in a second round tie. It was eventually settled by an own goal in the additional half-an-hour.
