Kian Lee was the star performer as Huntingdon Piranhas enjoyed success at the Newmarket Winter Meet over the weekend.

Lee was responsible for almost half of the club's total haul of 13 medals after producing a series of terrific swims in the 10yrs boys' section.

He won his 100m backstroke and 100m individual medley races; took second place in the 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle; and was third in the 100m freestyle.

Piranhas team captain Connor Thacker led by example with four medals of his won. He bagged two silvers (200m breaststroke and 100m individual medley) and two bronzes (100m breaststroke and 50m breaststroke) in the 16yrs boys' bracket.

Caitlin Shears (silver, 100m breaststroke for 15yrs girls), Jamie Coggins (bronze, 100m breaststroke for 15yrs boys) and Beatrice Pauley (bronze, 200m backstroke for 14yrs girls) were the other medal-winners.

The club also achieved a total of 36 personal bests at the event and were also represented by Ashlee McCarthy, Ruby Brace, Amelia Shears, Dominic Pauley, Isaac Lawrence, Alice Lawrence, Alex Allen, Toby Norman, Owen Gore and Will Coggins.
