ST IVES' junior cricketers have won the Seventeen6s competition - the youth version of Twenty20 - held at Huntingdon CC.
The event is designed to echo the success of the whirlwind format for cricketers under the age of 17.
The tournament, now in its third year, has continued to grow in popularity and offers young cricketers the opportunity to enjoy a more action-packed version of the game, where five players bowl one over each.
Godmanchester Town received a lucky bye into the final after Peterborough Town could not arrange transport, but the second semi-final saw eventual winners St Ives narrowly overcome Orton Park by three wickets with just four balls remaining.
In the final Godmanchester managed 56-3, but it was not enough as St Ives reached the target in the final over of their innings without losing a wicket.
St Ives wicketkeeper Iwan Lewis was awarded Player of the Match for his glove work and score of 34 not out.

St Ives coach Steven Crofts said: "It was a close final but good to get revenge on Godmanchester, who had beaten a lot of our players last year in an under-15s final. Congratulations to all the lads!"
David Holmes, Chairman of Huntingdonshire Cricket Board, was on hand to present the awards and said: "This format of cricket is really about the boys getting some fun out of the game.
"It's also good for teams that cannot raise enough players for a full 11-a-side game to be able to play in a smaller-sided competition.
