THIS weekend sees the first race meeting of 2007 for the Kimbolton-based Hunts Kart Race Club.

A winter championship at the club is held across January, February and March with trophies for winners.

Entrants from across the UK will attend the circuit - situated just off the B660 near Stow Longa - in the hope of securing a flying start to the new year.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that the Stars of Tomorrow championships - the first of 10 club meetings this year - will be held over the Easter weekend, giving young karting hopefuls a chance to impress.

- INFORMATION: The weekend's practice sessions at the circuit will be held on Saturday with the full races held on Sunday.

Spectators are very welcome to attend. Racing on both days begins at 10am and entry at the kart circuit is free - there is a car parking fee of £5 per car. For more information visit www.hkrc.co.uk
