Charlotte Edwards led England to a third successive victory at the Women’s World Twenty20 today.
Edwards, from Pidley, skippered her side to a final-ball success against the West Indies at the tournament in India.
England were cruising at 59-0 in pursuit of 108-4, but they had to survive a major collapse before scraping home courtesy of a bye off the last delivery to reach 109-9.
Edwards hit 30 after managing only four in a two-wicket win against host nation India on Tuesday.
She struck a fine 60 in an opening 36-run win against Bangladesh last week.
England will clinch a semi-final spot by beating Pakistan in their next game on Saturday.
