THIS Friday sees the final day of river fishing until June but St Neots angler Jean-Paul Thomas will have good memories of his latest catch.
Fishing with Paul Ibbott from St Ives, he caught a fantastic 160lb of bream from the St Ives stretch of the Ouse on Saturday, March 1.
The majority of the fish, some of which weighed 7-8lbs, were caught on a ground bait feeder with red maggot on the hook. Paul also caught 58lb himself.
Thomas is pictured with his catch, which was quickly and carefully weighed positioned on carp mats.
