Houghton star Diana Chalmers has reclaimed her European Duathlon Championship title - from her own sister!
Diana stormed to a second crown in three years when winning the F16-19 age group over the sprint distance in Kalkar, Germany last weekend.
The 18 year-old completed the 5km run, 20km bike and 2.5km run in a time of 1:09.50 to come home more than half-a-minute clear of younger sibling Amy (17), who led until suffering from cramp during the final run.
Diana said: “I’m very happy to win, but I could not celebrate until I saw my sister cross the finish line.”
Amy had previously struck European gold last year in Madrid, but she bravely battled on through the pain to claim a silver medal on this occasion.
