Sawtry star Lauren Steadman has enjoyed a second major paratriathlon success in as many weeks.
Hot on the heels of her fourth successive European Championships crown in Portugal at the end of last month, Steadman added victory in the ITU World Paratriathlon series event at Strathclyde Park in Scotland to her glittering cv.
Steadman completed the 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run in a total time of 1:09:55 to lead home a British one-two-three in the PT4 category last Sunday, with Kerry Large and Ruth Wilson filling the podium places.
It continues Steadman’s fine run of form building up to the Paralympics in Rio later this year.
She hs already achieved the qualifying time for the Paralympics where she is likely to start as favourite for the gold medal.
