Eaton Socon 2 Littleport 2

A 30-yard free-kick from Adam Podgorski set Eaton Socon on their way to a valuable point against Littleport.

Andy Smith was named man of the match for Eaton, but two goals from Nigel Smith ensured the visitors left with a share of the spoils.

Kershaw League Division A

SOMERSHAM Town came from behind to beat Hardwick in their fourth consecutive home game.

Goalkeeper Antony Petty enjoyed a fine debut with a penalty save but could do nothing to prevent the visitors taking the lead just after the interval.

Somersham kept battling and equalised on 62 minutes through Grant Robbing before Ashley English sealed a 2-1 victory seven minutes later.

Somersham Reserves played out a 3-3 draw with Stetham Hotspurs thanks to two goals from Jonathan Ives and one from Martin Barrett.

Kershaw League Division B

SUPER-sub Anthony Gentile scored a fine second-half goal as Huntingdon United RGE triumphed 2-1 against Milton.

David Gough scored the first from the spot after being fouled himself and despite a late consolation goal from the visitors, RGE held on.

RGE Reserves lost out 2-1 at Soham despite a bullet header from Jamie Clark.

BIS Division 1B

TWO goals from Dan Attfield helped Fenstanton get their season off to a flying start, defeating Waterbeach Reserves 4-1.

Attfield opened the scoring with a cool finish just inside the area before Waterbeach levelled with a volley from the edge of the box to send the teams into the break at 1-1.

The home side raised their game in the second period and were soon ahead when new boy Ali Dodson finished well.

Adam Buckingham put the game beyond reach before Attfield's second, direct from a corner.

St Neots & District Sunday League - Division 1

Houghton & Wyton 2 Grafham 0

PLAYER-manager Clinton Orchard helped get his side off to a flying start with a goal in the second half of this game.

Despite missing three important players the home side made the breakthrough when Brett Dockerill's dangerous cross was deflected into his own goal by a Grafham defender.

Man of the match Chris Jones saw the visiting goalkeeper strongly tested before the break but it was a quick break after the interval that saw Orchard double the lead.

Houghton captain Lee Hayward said: "Grafham beat us on three occasions last season but we looked solid and good performances from new boys Jones and Raoul Monks showed we have a lot a offer this year."

Eagle Heating 2 Lord Protector United 0

A BELOW-par performance could not stop Eagle Heating getting their season off to a winning start.

A patched-up side, including new signing Bob Fryer, played out an uninspiring opening period before Dave Moorby gave the home side the lead with a looping header.

The introduction of club stalwart Andy Blanchard in the second half gave Eagle added drive from midfield and another Moorby header settled the contest.
