The 4-2 win in Essex set up a home tie with Bitton AFC on January 19 and left Town players and officials dreaming of a trip to Wembley.

On Boxing Day, St Ives played out a tough 1-1 draw at rivals St Neots Town, with Simon Claridge opening the scoring for the visitors.

However, St Neots equalised 20 minutes from time when Kevin Byrne fired home from the edge of the box.
