SIXTEEN-year-old Thomas Honey claimed victory in the inaugural Golf Factor Junior Talent Search for the Eastern Region 2009 at Cambridge Golf and Conference Centre and Brampton Park Golf Club on Sunday.
Thomas, a 10 handicap golfer from Bedford came out on top of an elite field of 14 junior golfers from across the region.
Runners-up were Kimbolton's Max Bowmer-Adey, age 11, and 12-year-old Jake Brown from Market Deeping in Lincolnshire.
Competitors to show their skills with some chipping, pitching, bunker shots, and long and short putting before taking on nine demanding holes at Brampton Park, including the fourth hole which is regarded as one of the difficult par three holes in England.
