HUNTINGDON Gym Club members were in top form as the club hosted the Women’s 2010 Cambridgeshire County Championships.
HUNTINGDON Gym Club members were in top form as the club hosted the Women’s 2010 Cambridgeshire County Championships.
In the Level Four section, nine-year-old Hannah Morris won gold and Ailsa Wilson won silver.
In Level Three, Lottie Smith, 10, took the first place trophy and Carrie Walker came second. Rebecca Morris took gold in Level Two and won the trophy for the highest score of the day.
The other categories were qualifying competitions for the regional final in Ipswich in October.
Huntingdon members to qualify included Tilly Allen, Katie Reynolds, Lauren Sparrow, Maddy Young and Hannah Philips, after they all finished first and won gold medal in their sections. They qualified for the finals, where they will join Huntingdon club-mates Inola Browne, a silver winner, and Amber Lowe, who won bronze.
Huntingdon Gym Club also won the overall team trophy for Levels Three and Four, to cap a satisfying weekend of results for the club’s gymnasts and coaches.
