Ramsey did not have things all their own way, but they nonetheless maintained their advantage at the top of the Tucker Gardner League Division One table thanks to a comfortable victory at Sawston.
Skipper Taylor West held the innings together with a belligerent 64, containing seven fours and three sixes, and with help from Matthew Slack (29) and Michael Cafferkey (22) he took the visitors to 177-8 in their allotted overs.
Cafferkey and Trent Goers gave the home side problems from the outset, but it was Jon Cade’s 4-30 which wrapped things up by a 70-run margin.
Godmanchester Town’s hopes of closing the gap were ruined when the weather caused their match at March Town to be called off, while captain Simon Donald held the key to Waresley’s hard-fought win over Cambridge NCI.
He struck 16 boundaries in a stylish 106 which laid the foundations to a total of 221-8. James Dallaway (39) and Blair Tickner (20) offered support and when Robert Craze and Tickner reduced the visitors to 49-4, it looked all over as a contest.
However, a late-order revival caused a few worrying moments before Tickner (3-44) and Craze (5-53) returned to put the issue beyond doubt.
It was a bad day at the office for Warboys as they were battered by Foxton/Babraham.

James Trafford’s 4-43 failed to prevent the visitors from running up a massive 233-8 and only Chris Whitfield (28) made it into double figures as Jeff Douglas and Darren Cousins sent them back for a paltry 54.
St Ives Town encountered few problems seeing off Fordham in Division Two, Ben Thomas doing most of the damage with 4-12 and an unbeaten 51 as his team waltzed past their modest 87 target with nine wickets to spare.
Ray Tucker (95no) and Ryan Brown (49) shared a third-wicket stand of 128 as Eaton Socon strolled home against Newborough.
The visitors’ 194-4 was never in the home side’s sights as Ryan Vale (3-32) and Terry Day (3-28) combined to shoot them down for only 118.
