The county Under 12 and Under 13 sides were both successful when taking part in Twenty20 festival days at Framlingham College, Suffolk. And they got their hands on the trophies thanks to fine run-chases which resulted in last-over triumphs in their finals. The Under 13s beat hosts Suffolk by five wickets in the showpiece clash at that age. They eased past a posting of 156-5 with four balls to spare. Oliver Ford hit a fine 52 while Matthew Mills contributed a valuable 38no. Ford also impressed with a boundary-laden 84, off just 42 balls, as Hunts beat Hertfordshire by 27 runs in their semi-final. Hunts posted 215-4 and then restricted their opponents to 188-6 with Mills bagging 4-32. Coach Lee Smith said: Every single player contributed to a fantastic finals day win and Im really pleased for them. They all stood up under pressure to get us over the line and the results were deserved to go with their performances. The Hunts Under 12s also saw off Suffolk by five wickets in their final when chasing down their hosts tally of 139-3. Oliver Parncutt (37no), Luke Ashwell (30) and Jack Hodgson (28) all made pleasing contributions with the bat as the Hunts lads got home with three balls to spare. They had earlier demolished Norfolk by nine wickets in the semi-final after dismissing their opponents for just 90. Jacob Watling (3-27), Daniel Wells (2-12) and Hodgson (2-14) bowled smartly before Jairus Charles (46no) and Ashwell (26no) closed out a smooth victory with the bat. Both Hunts sides have a summer tour at Bromsgrove ahead.
