The Brampton man, who spent most of his rugby career at Peterborough but also had a couple of seasons in the colours of Huntingdon, has been competing in the rapidly-growing sport of indoor rowing since 2010 when he retired from his previous pursuit. And he is already no stranger to notable successes on the national and international stages in the Over 50 age group. He won a silver medal at the English Championships in 2012 and followed up with another runners-up finish at the Scottish National Championships the following year when he clocked the 12th fastest time in the world over the 1,000m distance. Cullington began the current year with a fourth place finish in his category at the European Championships in Amsterdam. And the big events continue thick and fast as he returns to action this weekend in the inaugural British Championships being staged at the Olympic Velodrome in London before heading across the Atlantic next month to battle for world glory in Boston. But Cullingtons association with rugby certainly hasnt ended. He is the managing director of Krusada Teamwear who are the kit suppliers to local sides Huntingdon and St Ives.
