Huntingdonshire Athletic Club’s Matt Pyatt took part in the Newcastle Town Moor British Masters Marathon on Sunday and was rewarded with a British Masters silver medal. Over a tough course and fighting gales along the way, Matt finished fourth overall out of 116 finishers in 2hrs 44mins 14secs to bag a London Marathon elite place. Hunts AC runners also enjoyed a lot of success in the weekly parkrun 5k races with Ian Turner winning the first ever to be held in Ashford, Kent, beating 89 runners to win in 16.49. At the Huntingdon Parkrun, 18-year-old Eleanor Smith was the first woman home in 13th overall and improved her best time over the course by four seconds with 22.43.

At the Cambridge Parkrun at Milton Park, 11-year-old Andrew Worrall finished 29th and beat his personal best by 10 secconds with a time 19.35. His 13-year-old sister, Francesca Worrall, improved her best time by 19 seconds when she ran the fastest ever time - 25.54 - by a Hunts AC female.
