Huntingdon Town manager Seb Hayes is delighted to have secured the signing of experienced defender Mark Arber on loan from Corby Town.
Arber, who is 36 and has played for Peterborough United, Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge among many others, has signed for Huntingdon until the end of the season and brings a wealth of experience to a club aiming to catch Spalding United at the top of the United Counties League.
“The signing shows the great strides the club has made both on and off the pitch in the last three years,” said Hayes.
“Mark is very happy to be part of the future vision of the club – culminating in the signing of Mark after significant interest from other clubs both in the UCL and higher leagues.
“Mark’s role at the club will also extend to the running of soccer camps and soccer schools during school holidays, and eventually the commencement of the HTFC Football Academy.”
Huntingdon are at home to Boston Town tomorrow after beating the same opponents 5-0 in Lincolnshire last weekend.
Ben Seymour-Shove scored a hat-trick in that game with Declan Rogers and Stuart Eason also getting on the scoresheet. It was a great win considering the team had not played a game for almost a month.
