WOMEN'S FA CUP
HUNTINGDON TOWN LADIES 1-2 OADBY & WIGSTON LADIES
A SLOPPY first-half display saw Town dumped out of the First Qualifying Round of the Women's FA Cup.
Huntingdon's first half was scrappy and they failed to string passes together or create many chances.
Excellent last-ditch defending kept them in the game for most of the first half but Oadby scored twice within a matter of minutes near half time.
Town upped their game in the second half and carved out some half-chances for their strikers. Goalkeeper Laura Gilbey kept the hopes of a comeback alive with a clutch of timely saves but despite Sarah Gee's late goal, Town never looked like breaking down the visitors' well drilled defence.
