The draw for next season’s Hinchingbrooke Cup has been made – and it features three local sides.
Two of them clash in the opening round with Huntingdon Town entertaining St Neots Town Reserves in a tie to be played before October 31. Godmanchester Rovers go to fellow Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Ely City at the same stage.
Huntingdon or the Saints second string will then entertain Raunds Town in the next round while Rovers will face another away trip to Stotfold if overcoming Ely.
There is guaranteed to be a new winner next season with current holders Yaxley no longer eligible for the Mick George-sponsored competition due to their promotion to Step 4.
Eynesbury Rovers have not entered following their controversial expulsion at the semi-final stage last season.
