Huntingdon racer Guy Jolly will attempt to defend his V8 Hotstox Supreme Trophy title on Saturday night.

Jolly is one of 25 drivers taking to the track at Mildenhall Stadium for the 20-lap showdown.

He has endured a difficult build-up to the big event with a number of mechanical issues and his father, Brian, who is an influential figure in his race-team, suffering a stroke last week.

Jolly said: “It would mean so much to win this trophy for the second time – both for myself and my father.

“He is a big part of my team and I appreciate all the well-wishes we’ve had since he was taken ill last week.

“To say I’m fired up is an under-statement and hopefully there will be a fair bit of local support.”
