Jonjo ONeill has had more winners at the local venue in the past five seasons than any other National Hunt stable. And he has six horses entered for the mid-October card featuring seven races the first of which is scheduled to go off at 2.20pm. Featuring among ONeills intended runners is Above Board, a good hurdler set for a debut over the larger obstacles in the feature 32Red.com Novices Handicap Chase. That horse is one of 15 entered in the Class 3 contest the highest-rated of which is Get On The Yager, trained by Dan Skelton and last seen out when running in a Grade One hurdle at the Grand National meeting back in April. Wicked Willy, a hurdles winner at Huntingdon for ex-Gold Cup-winning trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies, is also set to figure along with Meldrum Lad, who could provide a second novices chase victory at Huntingdon this year for trainer Seamus Durack. There are also entries on the card from leading trainers such as Alan King, Charlie Longsdon and while Venetia Williams. Tickets for the Tuesday fixture are available at £10 in advance as part of Huntingdon Racecourses Go Racing promotion. As usual, all accompanied children aged 17 or under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased online at http://huntingdon.thejockeyclub.co.uk or by calling 0844 5793007. * Jockey Brian Hughes rode a big-priced at the first Huntingdon fixture of the new National Hunt season last Thursday. Hughes guided 10/1 shot Deauville Dancer to glory in the 32Red Casino Handicap Chase over two miles, four furlongs for trainer David Dennis. And he then followed up aboard debutant Cuckoos Calling in the closing 32Red.com Junior Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at odds of 16/1. That horse is trained by James Bethell and was returned at the largest price of any winner during an eight-race card in which all favourites were beaten. Amateur jockey Tom McClorey and trainer Caroline Bailey teamed up to win the most valuable contest the 32Red.com Chase, a novices limited handicap over a shade more than two miles with McCabe Creek, a 5/1 shot.
