The next Huntingdon Racecourse fixture could come complete with a royal seal of approval.

The local track stages its Brian Martin Pallets Annual Beer Festival Raceday this Sunday.

And the Queen could be represented by Forth Bridge in the Premier League Betting at 188Bet Novices’ Chase. Should the Charlie Longdson-trained four year-old line up, it will be just an eighth runner for Her Majesty at Huntingdon.

Forth Bridge could face strong opposition from a Cheltenham Festival winner. Willoughby Court, who won the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle back in March and is trained by Longsdon’s brother-in-law Ben Pauling, has been entered to make a first start over fences.

The same applies to Keeper Hill, who triumphed in the Listed Sidney Banks Memorial Novices’ Hurdle at Huntingdon earlier in the year for trainer Warren Greatrex.

The six-race card gets underway at 12.40pm and features the Brian Martin Pallets Macer Gifford Handicap Chase in which Jackthejourneyman could bid for back-to-back successes.

The Tom Gretton-trained horse took the corresponding race, run in memory of the late Macer Gifford, a talented jump jockey who was born in Huntingdon and died aged 40 in 1985, last year.
