Champion trainer Nicky Henderson and champion jockey Richard Johnson teamed up for success at Huntingdon Racecourse last Friday night.
Their victory with the 4-6 odds-on favourite Hammersly Lake in the Follow Us On Twitter At 188Bet Novices’ Chase also confirmed the duo as the leading handler and rider at the local track in the last year.
Johnson also partnered another odds-on market leader, La Bague Au Roi, to victory in the Extra Place Races At 188Bet Mares’ National Hunt Novices’ Hurdle.
He was not the only jockey to double up at Huntingdon as Jamie Moore was first past the post in two races during the final fixture of the 2016/17 National Hunt season.
Moore triumphed aboard 20/1 shot Shining Romeo in the Boxing Betting At 188Bet Maiden Hurdle then steered 6-4 favourite Not Never – trained by his father Gary – home in the Ticket Giveaways At 188Bet Handicap Hurdle.
Other leading jockeys to taste victory were Sam Twiston-Davies and Noel Fehily while the concluding race went to female rider Bridget Andrews.
