More than 100 riders braved the elements to compete in the second round of the NDCA series and it was St Ives men who delivered the best times. Only five seconds split winner Mick Hodson, who took top spot with a time of 21:52, and Carl Whitwell in 21:57. Hodsons victory on a cold, windy afternoon was all the more remarkable considering it was his first outing of the 2016 season. He described the result as a surprise even though he always features close to the top of the results in local races. St Ives also took the award for fastest team with Andrew Knowles 25:33 completing their scoring trio and being enough to fend off the challenge of Fenland Clarion.
