St Neots Ladies 1sts have become the club’s latest set of champions.

A 1-1 draw against Royston 1sts in their final fixture of the East Women’s League season secured the Division Two North-West crown for a team coached by Duncan Talbot and skippered by Alice Wright.

Both goals arrived in the closing stages as Georgia Grant forced St Neots ahead from a penalty corner only for Royston to level courtesy of a penalty stroke.

That effort denied goalkeeper Laura Tonkin a clean sheet in what is likely to be her final appearance for the club before taking up a scholarship in the USA.

Millie Payne hit half of the goals in an 8-0 triumph at Berkhamstead Hemel 4ths. She was joined on the scoresheet by Eleanor Pybus (2), Hannah Sutton and Fiona Humphrey.
