HOCKEY: New coach, new captains and a search for new players as St Neots prepare for new season

St Neots will go into the new season with a new coach and new captain of their leading men’s side.

The 1sts, who play in Division Three North-West of the East Men’s League, have appointed Adam Wilson as coach and Ben Seaber as skipper for the 2017-18 campaign.

There is also a change of captain for the club’s title-winning Ladies 1sts with Emma Ritchie taking over for a first campaign at Division One level in the East Women’s League. They are keen to recruit a goalkeeper.

The club boast a dozen adult sides in all – along with several junior teams - and are recruiting players of all ages and abilities.

They are also holding pre-season fitness sessions on Tuesdays (7pm, men) and Thursdays (7.30pm, ladies) at their Longsands Academy base.

The club have their annual senior and junior club days scheduled for September 2 and 3 respectively, also at Longsands, 10am start.
