DID you know that Eastern Counties League football has been played in venues as diverse as Arsenal's former of Highbury and Somersham Town?
That's just one of the trivia facts to be found in a new limited edition history of the Eastern Counties Football League, issued to mark the league's 75th anniversary.
The two volumes are the work of Mick Blakeman, who has painstakingly researched the ECL since its beginnings in 1935. The finished work will be available from November 2010, and will include short histories of all 95 clubs in the league and profiles of 200 of the league's best-known players and personalities.
