Brampton talent Poppy Shipley enjoyed more success last weekend.

Shipley, who is part of the GB World Class Start programme, teamed up with partner Charlotte Bolton for two emphatic Women’s Junior 15 double sculls victories at the Peterborough Regatta.

Representing the Isle of Ely club, they blew away the competition over the 1,000m course by more than 10 seconds last Saturday when clocking 3:51.0 and they were almost nine seconds clear when producing a 3:51.4 effort the following day.

The double-success at Peterborough arrived less a month after Shipley and Bolton, who is from Stamford, combined to earn glory at the National Junior Championships.

Shipley, a Hinchingbrooke School pupil, also took part in the Women’s Junior 15 single sculls at Peterborough. She finished a creditable second in the final after recording comfortable victories in the heats and semi-final.
