BOXING: Buckden boxer Toby Herbert was pipped on points by ABA novice champion Santiago Weaver from Norfolk in his latest fight.
The 17 year-old left his best work in the training ring as he competed in the 70kg weight class at a Sparta Boxing club show in March,
Herbert could have made Weaver work harder for his win by applying more pressure and unleashing the power punches he is known for producing.
Herbert, who is scheduled to be back in action in London on November 13, is looking for a sponsor to help cover the costs of kit and travel. Anyone interested should call 07952 642956.
