Kaushicaa Vaseeharan was a hat-trick heroine for Hunts Under 15 Girls during a stunning spell of bowling in a recent game.

That fine feat came in a quadruple wicket maiden as the county side beat Hertfordshire by four runs in Division B, Group Two of the ECB Women’s Under 15 Championship.

Elle Burgess top-scored with 26 as Hunts were restricted to 93-9, but Vaseeharan’s exploits ensured they were able to defend that total.

She returned figures of 5-3 from five overs while Leah Culpin claimed 3-24 as Hertfordshire were dismissed for 89.

It was a second successive win for Hunts, who opened their season with a 12-run victory against Cambridgeshire.
