ST Ives cyclists competed in the second round of the winter series at Santum Downham, Thetford on Sunday, December 7.
The day was bright but temperatures were near freezing as riders set off on the frozen and slippery course.
As it began to thaw, the course became spongy and made hard work for the cyclists whose tyres began to stick to the ground, and only seven riders in all of the two-hour races completed four laps.
Andy Wylde and Leo Faulkner finished joint 49th out of 196 riders in their category and Alan Moules and Paul Davies came 29th and 33rd respectively out of 123 cyclists in their category.
