Huntingdon Gymnastics Club collected a pair of pleasing fourth places at the British Club Championships.
Their team of Tony Duchars (18), Benji Eyre (18), Harry O’Driscoll (16), Patrick Murphy (16) and Jake Jarman (14) were pipped to a medal by little more than half a point in the Adams Shield event.
And there was another excellent display from Huntingdon in the junior Williams Trophy competition as their quintet of 12 year-olds – Niall Hooton, Ryan Cirino, Kieron Burch, Joshua Papworth and Bradley Cooper – performed well against older opponents.
“The teams can be justifiably proud of their achievements,” said Huntingdon coach Ben Howells.
