Cromwell Ladies Golf Club have won through to the next round of the Mail on Sunday Classic golf competition for the first time. Players Jan Osborne, Liz Ede, Pam Wilkes, Greta Goodwin and Debbie Jones helped the club through to the later stages of the national competition for the first time.
Meanwhile, Debbie Jones triumphed in the club's 9-hole "Two clubs and a putter" competition. Her choice of five wood and six iron paid dividends as she scored 20pts, holding off Josie Pilsworth, who came second with 18pts.
Alan Perks picked up the senior midweek medal while Jayne Oliver triumphed in the Ladies February Fenton Trophy.
