St Neots Golf Club’s super youngsters have continued their county dominance by tasting glory again this year.

The St Neots team won a fourth successive Cambridgeshire Amateur Golf Union Junior Matchplay League title after coming through a vital final match of the campaign.

They went into a showdown against Newmarket GC knowing that victory was a must to leapfrog Gog Magog at the top of the overall standings, but that their opponents could also take the title with a win of their own.

But the St Neots team, made up of Harry McDonnell, Owen Meeds, Joe Gore, Gianni Biagioni, Will Whitney and Chloe Neal, didn’t disappoint as they powered to a 5-1 success.

St Neots captain, Gore, said “We’ve had a great team spirit all year and that has been an important part of our success.
