A GOAL in each half helped Godmanchester Rovers claim their first points of the season.
GODMANCHESTER Rovers got their first points of the season with a home win over Saffron Walden Town last night (Wednesday).
Manager David Hurst wanted to use the game as preparation for Saturday’s FA Cup extra preliminary round tie against AFC Kempston.
And his players delivered, with Paul Bass getting the first goal on 26 minutes and James Hall adding the second after 70 minutes. Halfway through the second round of Ridgeons Division One games, Rovers sit fourth in the table.
