Ridgeons League Division One
Godmanchester Rovers 3 Long Melford 1
GOALS from Lee Boon, Tom Polis and Nicky Hurst gave Godmanchester a much-needed win against their fellow strugglers.
It was the home side's first win since the opening day of the season and Boon gave manager Karly Hurst a boost with a good finish from a Chris Hughill pass.
The second followed when Simon Osbourn swung a free-kick into the box and Polis volleyed in to make it 2-0.
Polis turned provider after half-time when he swung in a corner for Hurst to head home the third.
