St Ives Ladies 3rds are scoring for fun.

The Division Four North-West (South) table-toppers have found the net 22 times in just two East Women’s League games.

St Neots 3rds were the latest opponents to feel the full force of the Ives attacking arsenal in a 10-0 derby drubbing.

Ellie Burgess hit a first-half hat-trick while captain Lauren Beadles and Emily Skidmore struck twice apiece. Hannah Gee, Pauline Hammond and Hollie Willitt were the other players to get in on the goalscoring act.

The 2nds also extended their unbeaten start with a 5-0 success against Spalding 3rds in Division Three North-West courtesy of two Sally King goals and strikes from Anna Banks, Melanie Wood and Naomi Chalkley.

St Ives 1sts were finally beaten last Saturday . . . by the weather. Their Division Two North-West fixture at Long Sutton was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

St Neots 1sts did manage to play at that level but went down to a 5-0 loss at the hands of Cambridge University 3rds.

There was an unwanted clean sweep for St Ives sides in the East Men’s League as all five teams tasted defeat.

The 1sts were pipped 6-5 in an 11-goal thriller against City of Peterborough 4ths as they remain bottom of Division Two North while the 2nds drew a blank as they went down 4-0 to Ely City 1sts in Division Three North-West.

The 3rds’ wait for a first win of the season in Division Four North-West continued as they went down 5-1 to Bourne Deeping 3rds. Trefor Jones struck a consolation goal.

Tom Andrews found the net as St Ives 4ths were beaten 6-1 by March Town 2nds in Division Five North-West and Langton Takawira grabbed the 5ths solitary strike in their 3-1 defeat to St Neots 5ths in Division Six North-West.

Brothers Archie and Ruper Jacques featured among the St Neots goalscorers along with Phil Sergeant.

Two other St Neots teams were both beaten by City of Peterborough (CoP) sides in the same division. The 3rds lost 1-0 to CoP 9ths and the 4ths went down 8-0 to CoP 8ths.

St Neots 1sts were victorious as they swept to a 4-1 success over bottom side City of Peterborough 5ths in Division Three North-West.

Garth Mooney, Daniel Sutton and Brett Nunn hit second-half goals to secure victory after Bradley Forsdick’s earlier opener had been cancelled out.

St Neots 2nds extended their 100 per cent record in Division Five North-West to eight games with a 4-1 in at Bourne Deeping 4ths.

Finn Hay, Sean Sanderson, Jeremy Lermitte and captain Daniel Stevenson were the players on target.

St Neots Ladies 2nds were also victorious as they won 4-1 at Potters Bar 2nds in the Five Counties League. China Saywell struck twice with Emma Southern and Pippa Le Cras getting the other goals in the Division Three success.
