These footballers from Ramsey Abbey College won a prestigious schools seven-a-side tournament. The teenagers, from Year 10 at the college, triumphed 1-0 against Longsands College in an exciting climax to the Huntingdon District Schools' competition. The students needed a penalty shoot-out along the way but triumphed against teams from Hinchingbrooke, St Ivo, St Peter's and Sawtry.
Simon Jay, director of learning for physical education at the college, said: "We were delighted to go through the tournament without conceding a goal in open play.
"I was pleased with the way the lads reacted to the tense situations that they encountered in the semi-final and the final."
