The BRJ Road Running Club hosted a very successful final race of the Frostbite League season at the weekend. More than 120 junior runners turned out in the biggest field of the season with BRJ represented by eight runners.
The senior race was a familiar story as Pete Galpin cruised home in a time of 26 minutes, 17 seconds, despite being hotly pursued in the early part of the race. His time was 44 seconds ahead of second-placed runner, Bourne's Thomas Honnibal.
Phil Rudd and Dan Vajzovic also turned in good performance to finish in 12th and 26th position respectively.
BRJ's total turnout was 53 - breaking the 50 mark for the first time in the club's history. The senior team has been in good form throughout the course of the season and have earned a fourth-placed league finish.
