LEAGUE leaders St Neots faced second placed St Ives in what promised to be a hard fought top of the table clash.

After a tense opening 10 minutes, St Neots took the lead through Danny Rowland, who fired high into the net,

St Ives raised their game, and scored a quick equaliser when Neil Tuffin slotted home.

After soaking up pressure it was St Neots who struck again through Mel Emery. And minutes later they increased their lead when Phil Sargeant latched on to a 40 yard pass from Elan Anish to score.

The second half belonged to St Ives. The home side scored two quick goals to bring the match level. Scott Perry bagged the first; slipping the ball home then Tuffin pushed an equaliser through the keeper's legs. St Ives then took the lead through a short corner Simon Bollom on hand to net.

Having been hard pressed St Neots had the final say when Bradley Forsdick nicked a late equaliser.

St Neots Ladies 1st X1 dished out a real hiding to Cambridge University 2Nd X1. The 6-1 win saw goals scored by Sam Bradbury who netted four, Emma Ritchie and Liz Turnbull.
