The hottest shot in the area is closing in on another big milestone.
Godmanchester Rovers forward Tom Meechan is now just one goal away from hitting the 40-mark for the season after a brace in their Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division triumph against Diss Town last Saturday.
Meechan also laid on a strike for full-back Jamie Alsop in the 4-2 victory at Bearscroft Lane.
Defender Taylor Parr was the other scorer when converting an Alsop corner as second-placed Rovers remained 10 points behind table-toppers Norwich United.
“Diss are on a bit of a roll so it was a pleasing result,” said Rovers co-boss Neville Nania.
“All we can do is keep picking up points and hope to take advantage if Norwich United do slip up.”
Godmanchester go to Gorleston on Saturday.
