Rovers moved smoothly into joint second spot in the league with a classy win over local rivals March Town.
They were seldom in trouble as they bossed the match with a performance that had manager Karl Hurst purring: " We adapted to difficult conditions and turned in a total team performance, it was worth watching"
Adam King and James Edwards created the best early openings that were well saved by the visiting keeper but he could do little to stop Lee Boon's goal on 24 minutes as the Goddy man slotted home a Grahame Thackray cross from six yards.
Rovers were good value for their 1-0 lead at the break and after the interval continued the assault on the March goal. On 69 minutes the keeper could only parry Edwards free kick and Ash Richards was on hand to crash the ball home and less than 10 minutes later the hard working Edwards turned and fired home from 18 yards. Tim Trebes in the Rovers goal had a quiet afternoon until the last few minutes when he was called on to make two fine saves to keep the score sheet clean.
# Rovers entertain Fakenham on Saturday 3.00pm kick off.
