UCL Premier Division

St Ives Town 2 Sleaford Town 2

St IVES Town's Carl Foreman saved the day with a late equaliser to secure a share of the points and this was described as "the strangest game of football I have ever seen" by Saints Joint Manager; Jez Hall. "I have never seen a game where we have had over a dozen clear cut scoring chances and yet the score was only one nil at half time"

In a one sided first half Ricky Dear, Jamie Blackwell and Scott Fielding all came close to opening the score and it was Fielding who made the break when he slotted home after breaking through the Sleaford defence.

On 46 minutes the Saints had an opportunity to double their lead when Liam Kennett was fouled inside the box but he missed the penalty. On 75 minutes Michael Stones netted a surprise equaliser for Sleaford and five minutes later the same player bundled the ball home to give the visitors the lead. As the minutes ticked away Carl Foreman, who had come off the bench, equalised for the Saints much to the delight of the home crowd.

n St Ives will look to take the points on Saturday when they visit Sleaford 3.00pm KO
