The Comets were beaten 27-0 by Godmanchester Rovers Blue in a Hunts Youth League game last Saturday. It means they have now conceded 84 goals in losing all six games to date and managed just one goal - from Reuben McPartlin. But manager Jonathan Bests report on their latest Division A clash, which appeared on the leagues Full-Time website, refreshingly revealed: A great effort by all, still smiling at the end, cant ask for anymore than that . . . There was only one other game in that division last Saturday and it was one by new leaders St Ives Rangers Black Sox. Daniel Legg and Amman Ahmed both struck twice in a 5-4 success over Little Paxton with Edward Hill getting the other goal. Luke Fourie (2), Jack Nagle and Spencer OLeary scored for a Paxton side who, like Ramsey Comets, are still looking for a first win. Somersham Under 13s did succeed in picking up their first success of season last Saturday. Rufus Tyers hit a hat-trick to lead them to an 8-3 verdict over Alconbury Red in Division A. Ben Gibbs, Sam Galloway, Nathan Hogg, Harry Holman and Jamie Raddon shared the other goals. Huntingdon Rowdies Under 13s produced their best performance of the campaign in the same section. There was terrific football and goals galore in a 10-1 victory over local rivals Godmanchester Town. Hadley Rodda, Luke Fox and Kyle Antony hit two goals apiece with Joe Cobb, Jay Parr, Ryley Coppard and James Clark completing the scoring. Hot-shot Kyle Rudland led Ramsey Falcons Under 14s clear at the top of Division A. The goal machine found the net five times in a 9-1 success at Wasps Red. Alex Swanston hit four goals as Godmanchester Town jumped into second spot with an 8-0 victory at Priory Parkside Black. Alconbury Under 15s continued their perfect start to the Division B season. Jacob Pack hit four goals and Alex Kontos struck twice in a 6-2 success at Somersham. Pack and Jack Connolly shared the man-of-the-match accolade. Alconbury are a point behind table-toppers Staploe & Duloe who came through a nine-goal thriller to extend their own unbeaten run. Cameron Farrow, Matthew Jones, Jamie Watson, Jaidon Wells and Kyle James netted in 5-4 victory at Spartak 78. Hemingford Red were victorious over Godmanchester Rovers in another high-scoring clash in that section. Brandon Jack and Daniel Phillips hit two goals apiece to help their side to a 6-4 success. Brampton Under 15s went three points clear at the top of Division A with a 2-1 success at St Ives Rangers Blue Sox. Fellow title hopefuls Gransden were out of action. A Max Medwynter goal settled the other contest at that level as his Sawtry Blue Sox side saw off Godmanchester Rovers Blue.
