Slough Town climbed to the summit of their table when they beat St Neots 2-0 in front of the First Divisions biggest crowd of the season at Holloways Park. There were 271 supporters at the ground to see Ben Abbey and Nathan Bowden-Hasse give the home side a 2-0 first-half lead, before the two heavyweights slugged out a goalless second half. Meanwhile, in the Premier Division of the United Counties League, St Ives scored five goals at Westwood Road and once again managed to keep a clean sheet. Striker Stuart Cobb scored a hat trick in the fantastic win while the much talked-about Conor Washington was again on the scoresheet, along with in-form midfielder Lee Ellison. Though the Saints remain in fifth, they are now only 10 points behind leaders Peterborough Northern Star who surprisingly lost only their second game of the season 3-1 at home to Cogenhoe United. In Division One Huntingdon Town won 2-0 away at Raunds Town while Eynesbury Rovers beat Wellingborough Whitworth 3-1 at home. Ricky Marheinekes Huntingdon are now just two points behind leaders Bugbrooke St Michaels in third place while Paul Dodsons Eynesbury are only one point behind the Croms in fifth. Godmanchester Rovers beat Long Melford 5-1 in their Eastern Counties League Division One game and are now sitting pretty in third place.
