Town boss Ricky Marheineke has challenged his players to take their unbeaten run into 2015.

A 0-0 draw at Egham in Surrey on Saturday made it five Southern League Division One Central matches without defeat for Marheineke's mid-table men.

And the manager wants two more positive results in their remaining December fixtures - at home to Daventry Town on Saturday and when Royston visit ProEdge Westwood Road on Boxing Day.

Marheineke said: "We played really well at Egham, but just lacked that final touch in front of goal. It is certainly not a bad point though and it keeps our good form going.

"We have to remember that not so long ago we were going through an horrendous run and wondering where our next points were going to come from.

"Now we're playing well and hopefully we can round off 2014 with four more points from the games ahead. That would only leave us 12 off the club's final tally of last season."

Marheineke insists it is vital Town take maximum advantage of the poor condition of their Westwood Road pitch.

They didn't quite manage that when being held to a 1-1 home draw by Marlow last Tuesday. Stuart Eason fired them ahead, but their lead was short-lived.
