SOMERSHAM made it six wins from six after a fruitful journey to Wisbech on Saturday. After going a goal behind early in the match, Steven Robson squared things before the break. A vibrant Somersham added another through Robson in the second half before Justin Ives converted a penalty to close out the game. Hemingfords progressed in the Scott Gatty Cup with a 3-1 win at the expense of local rivals Brampton. Adam Cray netted his seventh goal in six games and other goals were delivered by Andy Ging and Nick Cade. Hemingfords Reserves fell to a 3-2 defeat in the Creake Shield against Newmarket Town A, but the A team got off to a flyer with a 3-2 home win against Brampton Reserves. Richard Kay and James Willoughby got the goals for Eaton Socon when they took the points at home to West Wratting. Lowly Needingworth put up a brave fight but went down 5-4 at home to Foxton and have yet to register a point this season. Bluntisham Rangers took a much needed point in a 1-1 draw at Ely City. In the Peterborough Premier, Alconbury's early promise has turned sour with a 2-0 defeat to Coates Athletic, their second in a row. Things were no better for Ramsey whose journey to Pinchbeck proved pointless as they went down 2-1. Great Paxton's Scott Gatty Cup progress was halted by Powerleague Rangers who won 3-1, and Warboys were sent crashing from the competition following a 6-0 beating by Huntingdon.
